The Process of the Nudge

Quote of the Blog

“Trusting your intuition means tuning in as deeply as you can to the energy you feel, following that energy moment to moment, trusting that it will lead you where you want to go and bring you everything you desire.”

Shakti Gawain

While journaling, the thought of being “nudged” came to mind. Then a theory followed soon after. A theory I’d like to call “The Process of the Nudge” (Nudge Process for short). I broke down the Nudge Process into three categories: Faith, Insecurity, and End Result. While this theory may not resonate with everyone, I’m sure there is someone who can relate.

Let’s start off with what the “nudge” means. The nudge in this theory is the voice within you. It is considered the one thing that screams “Do it!” but scares you senseless. I also like to call the nudge “the voice within”. The voice within is God within you and around you, making you aware of your purpose and/or mission.

How Do All Pieces Come Together?

With the nudge, it is something that usually requires you to take a leap of faith. It allows you to see the end result (also known as the vision) but blocks you from seeing how to get there. Lastly, it involves some type of insecurity during the process.

Similar to other triangular systems, two sides always work together and it’s no different in the Nudge Process. In this theory, two can balance each other out, or one can outweigh the other.

Combinations

  • Faith/Insecurity
  • Insecurity/End Result
  • Faith/End Result

Faith/Insecurity

Insecurity/End Result

Faith/End Result

The combination of faith and insecurity determines your end result. Having faith and insecurity as a balance, in my experience, leads to a not so good end result. In this case, the ideal approach is being able to not allow your insecurity to outweigh your faith to get the better deal of the end result. However, if insecurity outweighs your faith, your end result is questionable, and likely will fall on the bad end of things.

The Combination of Insecurity and End result is a lose/lose situation. Regardless of the amount of insecurity, the end result is highly effected because you lose faith completely.

Faith and End Result is the best of the three. You are in complete control of how much faith you have in getting to end result. This duo fully abides by the nudge you receive when you take action in full faith knowing that the end result will be great whether it takes a couple of stumbles or not.

Closing Thoughts

With the Nudge Theory in mind, I challenge you to take a look at which combination best describes you and your situation right now. Take some time when you can and journal on a few things. Are you content with where you are? Are there some things you are wanting to change? What emotions did you feel when you realized your combination?

Thank you for taking the time out for Aganee.
