“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation of all abundance.” -Eckhart Tolle

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Today the message is short and sweet, as we will be focusing on gratitude. I’m sure we all have many reasons to be grateful. As this is a great day to show how grateful we are, it shouldn’t be the only day we show appreciation. We should approach everyday in a grateful way. The small things count as well, as they make up the big goals we want to achieve step by step.

Story Time!

The other day, I volunteered at a shelter to feed the homeless. The looks on their faces showed much appreciation for receiving a simple meal. The gratitude many of them showed after they finished eating was amazing. Things like this makes me think about the small things we complain about when a meal can easily make someone less fortunate smile. You could tell that they felt accepted and cared for. One guy walked up and told me and the other two ladies I was serving with and said, “Thank you. God bless you. You ladies served it well and made the meal better.” A simple, ‘I see you’ is all a lot of the homeless want, especially around the holiday season.

We can be so wrapped up in our own lives and problems that we fail to realize how fortunate we are. We may not have all the things we want, but we have many things to be thankful for.

Thought to Ponder

What can I do to make a difference in someone’s life today, tomorrow, or the next day? Give back, smile, ask them how their day was, or simply listen?

I think volunteering is the best form of giving back. People send money and gifts but it’s nothing like giving someone your time. We as human beings need one another, to be able to socialize regardless of social status.

    1. Of course! We have been long overdue for unity. We have come to a point where elevating humanity should be the forefront of change. Division amongst our people and nations has ruined natural law. It has ruined the human experience.
