The Act of Resisting
Often times we place ourselves in the mode of resistance, allowing blockage of our true feelings, boundaries, gifts, and rewards. It can be a natural instinct to stray away from something we’re not used to even if its for the better. Here’s a question…what happens if we don’t resist?
Personal Experiences of Resisting
In my case, I have found a few different types of resistance. Disclaimer: These are my own definitions from my personal experiences.
- Emotional Resistance– This is when you choose to block your true feelings for whatever reason. Usually when it would happen to me, it would be my ego telling me that I shouldn’t feel a certain way, or I shouldn’t care about certain things. For example, if I was hurt by someone’s actions, I would suppress those feelings due to my ego telling me not to show that I care when I actually did.
- Deserving Resistance– This one may seem like a weird one, but it is common in a lot of people that I come across, including myself. Deserving resistance is when you are deserving of something and you know you are, but you resist it with your ego or through your subconscious mind. For example, you know you are deserving of honest, true love, but when it comes you automatically resist it with past relationship experiences you have stored in your subconscious.
- Resistance of Money– I’m sure we’ve all heard of this one and I have found it to be true. Often times we say things like, “I’m broke.” When we release those words, we invite “broke” energy into our lives and deny the flow of money to us.
What Must We Understand?
We have to place ourselves in the mode of being receptive to the things we want. When we see everything that stands in our way of getting to what we truly desire, we become stagnant, until we allow our minds to see those obstacles as nonexistent.
When Does Resisting Happen and How?
Resisting happens through our words, but most importantly through our feelings. When it comes to our emotions: When we resist the truth, we invite the lie we keep telling ourselves. This is automatic when it comes to the Universe giving us what we attract.
When it comes to our deserving: We resist rewards that are for us and accept the things we don’t deserve.
When it comes to money: We resist the flow by accepting being “broke”.
A Few Tips!
When you find yourself resisting…?
- Keep your eye on the target.
- Understand that challenges will arise, but do not allow that energy to take over and deter you from the goal.
- Allow yourself to see what you desire without the vision of what you don’t.
- Practice your affirmations, like “I am open to receiving.”, or “Receptive mode activated.”
The mission is to stay receptive to the things you want, so your energy isn’t vibrating off of the things you don’t want.
Blessings and Prosperity,
